: Most grains just don't agree with type O's. the classic example are the polynesians and Inuits (Eskimos) who do very well on their native diet, and then begin to suffer from severe obesity when they switch to the cheap and readily available starchy western foods.

: Another interesting example are the "Mound Builders" of the Indiana Valley. Fossil evidence suggests very little arthritis and bone deformation prior to the introduction of grains (primarily corn) into their diet. From the time of grain introduction on though, the skulls show sever arthritis, tremendous dental caries etc. The kicker is , of course, that these native Americans were almost 100% type O blood.
