Diet Advice for Everyone

I've been explaining this life long change in people's eating habits to improve the health of people I know. The first reaction is " I can't eat that?" , and they give me a pouty look. Everyone seems to want to hold on to their favorite foods like a baby's blankie. Like those foods soothe them as needed. I am noticing it is always the foods they aren't supposed to eat that they crave and eat the most of. I don't know if these "wrong" foods react in the body with a certain drug like affect that people don't want to give up. Or, could it be that its just the mention of something they should give up that creates this fear. I will have to test the theory. It fascinates me! Try this with people you know. Ask them which foods they would mind giving up and then check them with the list and see if they are the ones they shouldn't eat. Maybe this is another reason so many people are overweight & unhealthy. Some are psychologically hooked on the wrong foods. Very few people seem to be willing to change their diet even though there are obvious reasons that they need to. We are a rare few that give it a shot. My guess is that the majority of us on this message board are relatively healthy compared to the general populace.
