Learned about fried okra

when my sis was living in Atlanta, and took us to this great restaurant that offered typical southern cooking. The food was great, and I learned to eat and love fried okra.
It can be used as a thickener, but I've found that for thickening it's best with tomatoes, and we don't eat those anymore, so it's sauted okra for us.
