In Response To: lowering uric acid in type A (ROSIE 'downunder' A- nonny)

I have had gout for the last 15 years. I take a drug salled Allopurinal (spelling) 200 mg. a day. What I found that inflamed my gout was any alocholic beverages especialy red wine. Last summer on our 50th anniversity I drank a bottle of red wine to celibrate and allmost immediatly my wrist swelled up and the pain was bad. Since then I havn't had any alochol at all and never felt better. Lawrence
