The exception holds true mostly for thyroid tissue, which from an immunological point of view almost never contains ABO antigens; except when it becomes malignant, then it does contain ABO antigens.

After the new year I plan to re-explore 'newer' foods. There will be a suggestion form for submitting foods for examination. I will also make sure to reference your post recent post.
