Wish I had the choice

I live in Israel and if it weren't for modern shipping methods we would never be eating salmon, or any other fatty rich fish. We can buy delicious frozen salmon fillets, pacific salmon and some huge Canadian salmon. Makeral is available but also frozen.
I would love to be able to buy fresh wild salmon, but that is impossible.
I would also love to buy only organic vegetables, but they're not always available, or there's a very limited choice of produce. They are also about 3 x's a expensive as regular vegetables, and since I'm shopping for a family of 6 adults, this would be incredibly expensive for me.
I do buy organic eggs, soy, peanuts, simply because we eat so much of it. I try to grow what I can in my garden, and this is without pesticides.
I have no anwsers, but I do believe in organic methods. And it would be worthwhile to go over to these methods. I also think that this is easier than we think.
But until then we all have to do what we can to live fulfilling lives, eating good food, and enjoying it.
