In Response To: Eliminating wheat (Joyce)
Hi Joyce, I am an O-sec and when my son introduced me to LR4YT I read (well I tried to read the book, it is not written for us lay people, sadly, oh well) and read, trying to figure out where to start.Althogh it was apparent wheat was going to be my biggest challenge, I kept putting it off thinking I would just cut down on my beloved homemade bread, inside I knew it had to go cold turkey. My experence with sugar years ago, made me realize you can't do it gradually, so ZAP I quit wheat, for me it was harder then cutting out sugar, even tho I still crave sweets. Bread, that piece of warm toast with butter and honey, wow. I got sick to my stomach a couple of times, when I first started, so I would grab a RyKrisp cracker and feel better. The most rewarding part is my poochy tummy started to go away after just 1 month on LR4YT, and I've had that my whole life. There is some recipies but you have to ajust your taste buds, it's worth it. I was feeling so much better till my daughter came to visit for her birthday, we ate out all day,all the wrong stuff, I'm old enough to know better. Good Eating, Carolyn
