In Response To: Essene bread in UK??? (Geoff, type O+)
Don't be put off by your bad symptoms, its a positive sign that your body is detoxing, stick with it & you'll get the rewards - plenty on this message board (mb) will attest to this.
Essene bread is sold in UK health food stores (hfs) as sprouted wheat bread. I used to buy the Sunnyvale brand until I discovered my secretor status. grains are best avoided by non-secretors especially with a history of intestinal problems.
Crucial for 'O's is plenty of high quality protein & easy on the carbs. Are you planning to get your secretor status checked? There are two ways I think of doing this from UK; blood test via Canterbury Osteopathic (Cantost)or saliva test via the US via Stacktheme in Scotland. There is debate as to the most reliable method. I used Cantost.
You'll find plenty of help & support on this mb incl Brits.
Best wishes - Keith
