Spirulina info

In Response To: I also need spirulina enlightenment (Edna O+)
I used to be involved with spirulina distribution back in the 70's. In those days, most of it came from lakes in Mexico which we didn't know were polluted at the time. In the name of health, we were marketing crap. These days, the sources of spirulina are less contaminated, but there is still the possibility of fungal micotoxins, molds and other lurking undesirables that are beyond the control of the producers. I believe D'Adamo has stated this is the reason for avoid status.
