consider FOS for gas,constipation, etc ?

FOS, or fructo-oligosaccharide a complex sugar from plants is actually good for you. It passes directly to the gut and is digested by good bacteria, incouraging their growth. For cronic gas, or bloating you can start with one gram daily and work up to four grams daily. It can be taken with other probiotics, and it is found in food products. In Japan it is found in more than 450 foods. It is also known as neosugar or inulin. (per Dr. Earl Mindell)
Another thought, from the old books of Adelle Davis: there are two kinds of gas, one has no odor and it is from swallowed air (which expands at body temperature), the other odorous one is from fermenting food that is not being digested because of low digestive enzymes and,or not enough good bacteria in the gut.
