Had a cracked tooth at the end of August which resulted in an infection in the exposed tooth pulp. Before going to the dentist on Monday I went to a health clinic which prescribed tegretol. this tegretol stuff made me feel like I was crawling out of my skin and gives me a dry cough right away! So Monday the dentist finds the real problem so I stop the tegretol (amen!) and start metronidazole and penicillin (two antibiotics) for a week. Add in the motrin (600 mg 4x a day) and 1 dose of tylenol+ codeine because the antibiotic is not taking care of the pain. whew! After 6 days of this my body can't take anymore so I stop taking everything on the labour day weekend.

Finally the dentist does a root canal which takes care of the pain but now my health has deteriorated - I have rheumatoid arthritis and allergies which have gotten worse. Apparently if you have a chronic disease you should only have 3/4 to 2/3 of a dose of antibiotics that a healthy person would have. I think I overdosed especially on the antibiotics.

The Metronidazole makes your pee brown and your stool brick red. And off and on that has been coming out all month. This stuff also stops DNA replication. I wish I could have caught the tooth problem before the infection but its too late now.
