Thanks for the reply, but everytime he's tried any l-tyrosine, he gets monster headaches....I did find one site on the net that actually mentioned this as a rare side effect (forget where of course!). Not too long ago I did find some L-tryptophan at a health store, labelled for animals....would that be ok to take instead of the 5-HTP? Thanks again....:)
