any success stories/advice on arthroscopic....

knee surgery? I have pretty much decided to have it on one of my knees sometime
the end of August probably. I just cannot exercise and do what I want to do
which is an important part of the 0 diet. I would love to be able to do heavy
aerobic exercise, but I am lucky if I can walk slowly for 20 minutes. Forget
gardening, I just can't do the bending and weeding, so I am trying to find my
vegetables through the weeds this year and plant in pots, etc. I felt pretty
good about a month and decided to push it and walked every day for 30-40 minutes
and then started gardening on top of that and whamo! I am still recovering, and
that was about a month ago. It swells every time I push it at all and I am just
tired of living life this. So.....I have tried everything I know and many
suggestions from board members from a few months ago, and some things helped,
but it was only for awhile. I have a meniscus tear is what they are going in
to fix, along with anything else they find. I am hoping it will be quite minor
and then will fix the majority of my problem. Question 2, I have never had
surgery of any kind before, so was wondering about any pre or post tips anyone
might have. I have already decided to stock up on mainly HB foods, teas, and
herbs for after the surgery. I think Janet mentioned rescue remedy, and I was
going to try that. Anything else to speed up the recovery process, which hope-fully won't be a long time? Any stories of this kind of surgery helping anyone?
I have tried different exercises, stretching (I can't really do yoga), ginger,
tumeric, etc., it just feels the best when I stay off it and I don't want to
do that anymore if I can fix it.
