Have you tried fennel seed and turmeric? These simple kitchen spices are supposed to be wonderful for the flora of the digestive tract. I can't for the life of me remember the source, but read of someone that had suffered for 20 years with IBS and after taking a few weeks of fennel and turmeric had no more problems. Seems too simple doesn't it. Maybe worth some research tho.
