In Response To: dyslexia (Cocky van Hesteren (A+))
Hi Cocky, to add yet another facet to dyslexia - there is a Dr. Tomatis in France (I don't know if he is still alive) who discovered that SOME dyslexics became that way because of emotional trauma and he has used music therapy to help to heal them. He theorized that trauma caused certain people to block out specific tonal ranges and his therapy consists largely of playing the music of Mozart with certain ranges blocked out, accompanied by counselling. It has been highly effective for some people. You can probably find a Tomatis practitioner by asking around. I once met a young woman who was greatly helped by his system and became a practitioner as a result. She was very impressive...
Love and light,
