Birch Bark Sugar (xylitol)
Posted By: Malthesia O+ Date: Thursday, 6 April 2000, at 11:24 a.m.
I have seen that White Birch is listed as being neutral for all types (at least that is my memory - I've read through too many food lists today) - but, I am wondering if anyone knows about Birch Bark sugar itself? My daughter has medical problems and on another list I have been reading about xylitol (birch bark sugar) having a lower glycemic (sp) index (like agave syrup). Does anyone know the "status" of it....?
