For Stephen: Soy and Hypothyroidism
Posted By: mary ann moss Date: Tuesday, 4 April 2000, at 1:53 a.m.
I have found online some claims that soy (isoflavones) can worsen hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is common in type o's for which soy is neutral and also a good source of calcium. I love it. Mary Shomon at the website "About.com" is saying soy can be a danger to hypothyroids. Seems like this website is a goldmine of information. But i didn't want to find out soy is a no-no. So, what's the scoop?
