I don't think you are having frequent enough outbreaks to warrant any extensive treatment. If you were having more frequent outbreaks, a topical gel derived from licorice (glycyrhizzic acid) can be helpful, as could the supplement Coleus forskolin, and the amino acid lysine.
I would follow the A diet and leave the other options to the more unfortunate.
