In Response To: finding free range foods (Adrianna D. Bates)

Hi, Adrianna! Welcome ~~

What's your blood type? I know a couple of good sites for buffalo, and there are several Bs here who know of good sites for lamb, etc.

Frontier Buffalo (www.eatbuff.com) is my favorite buffalo purveyor. Many upscale butchers carry it or will order it for you. Fabulous meat.

Great Plains Food Company carries wild game, but much of it is farm-raised - I don't have a website. (Anyone?)

info@tarkingtons.com is the email address for Tarkington's: they carry D'Artagnan products on the web, if you have no local D'A distributor. Please note: D'Artagnan had to recall their fois gras over the Christmas holiday because of bacterial contamination, much to the chagrin of folks who stood in line at Balducci's or Dean & DeLuca. However, this was a handling issue and... guess what? NOBODY gets fois gras on the ER diets. ;-) They have a GREAT selection of game meats, absolutely trustworthy. Some even I had not heard of, and I thought I'd eaten everything by now. ;-/

There are some great lamb sites out there, but I don't have them at hand.

Anyway, post yer blood type and we'll see what we can do!
