This study occured over the period 1965 to 1993. Genetically engineered crops did not appear until '96. So GM soy is ruled out.
Organic vs non organic hypothesis:
If residual pesticides and herbicides caused the trouble, it would not be limited to tofu. All foods consumed would cause brain aging.
Organic argument is ruled out.
Lousy food choice argument:
27 foods were monitored for consumption. The only correlation that was established was for tofu.
Lousy food choice argument dismissed.
We are left with only two choices: A lot of type Bs were damaged, or tofu is dangerous for everyone.
