In Response To: diabetes (kay duket)

Kay,

For what it is worth, my wife is a type A and started the Atkins diet one year ago. She lost 65 lbs and dropped her cholesterol from 236 to 165 in the first two weeks. I try to follow the ER4Yt diet with a few refinements. My wife eats as much of the type A HB foods that I can convincer her to eat, and stay away from the avoids.

Something you might try is after an overnight fast, eat one particular food that you want to evaluate, and check your blood glucose levels twice after to see how it affects you. Once to see how high it goes and again later to see if their is a hypoglycemic rebound.

Good luck
Bob
