Supplement economics

One thing for sure, it will be years before I ever see a dime from this supplement line. That's OK: they are really something I am proud of, and they probably will help drive book sales.

The reason: they are VERY expensive to manufacture, and there is a very slim profit margin for New Chapter (about 5-6%) as compared to most supplement manufacturers (100-200%). It just makes me wonder about similarly-priced pills made from USP chemical grade vitamins. No wonder the drug companies are getting into supplements.
