In Response To: Any Type A Women with Endometriosis, Please Help! (Steve (O+))

Hi Steve. I am sorry to hear about your wife's endometriosis. I really sympathise with you and her...I suffered from the condition for four years and it was getting to the point where I just dreaded any days from the middle of my menstrual cycle on where I would be in absolute agony despite painkillers etc. I found it difficult to concieve my fourth baby due to this but alas I did get pregnant after hemeopathic treatment from a midwife colleague of mine who is also a medical herbalist. Because I had a section for the delivery of the baby (a previous section was what started the endometriosis) I feared that it would develop again after the very welcome respite of pregnancy. After about two years of blissfully pain free periods it started again...with very heavy bleeding, anaemia etc. Not as bad as before but getting progressively worse. Then I started the ERFYT diet and after two months the pain subsided (now I just get 'normal' menstrual cramps, not the horrific pain of endometriosis and also (and I could not believe this) my periods have actually become regular as clockwork for the first time in my life as well as lasting only 4 days instead of 7-10 days as previously. The heavy bleeding has also gone. I don't know if it is coincidence or not but I believe it is due to the diet. Someone mentioned the 'dairy' connection...I was eating LOTS of dairy before I started the diet so maybe that is a contribution. Show your wife this: she has nothing to loose by sticking to the diet for a couple of months, and if it doesn't work she can always choose to go back to eating meat etc. BTW come to think of it maybe the fact that I have also been taking Bromelain tablets and eating quite a bit of pinneaple might have had something to do with it,although I didn't know about this before I read it on the board.

Best of luck!

Josie
