In Response To: "A" sisters aren't convinced. Any ideas? (Lynn O+ENTP)

Hi Lynn,
I don't know if I would have been convinced either. Except that I been on a low carb diet (Atkins) prior to trying ER4YT. Now this type of diet is ultra-restrictive by nature, almost an elimination-type diet. So I found myself eating a very limited number of foods and it was easy to figure out some of the foods that weren't working for me. When I would eat a lot of red meat, I would get terribly constipated. After some trial and error I finally eliminated beef in favor of chicken and fish and immediately my problem mostly resolved itself. Even though I kicked & screamed about being an "A" at first, some of the specific type A problems, like low stomach acid, seemed to make sense.

The "pepper" thing was also hard to take. Like many other A's, I liked hot foods. However, while pepper/peppers only does a number on my stomach some of the time (like when combined with other avoids, eg., Mexican food ALWAYS gives me heartburn), it always makes my nose drip like a faucet. Maybe if you can convince your sisters by getting them to think about the side-effects they get from certain A-avoids, maybe eventually they will come around with the whole diet).

Good luck!
