Rose: Please elaborate - what do you mean: your ears 'shut down'? I've had chronic ear problems and I THINK ER has MAAAAAAYBE helped a little w/this but if so, not a really noticable difference. I've tried for years to make the connection between the ear pain and something I eat or drink, but haven't pinpointed anything so far. Remember "fluid on the ears"? It's like that - may even BE that, but I know there's no infection. Many times the pressure gets so bad it will burst my ear drum. (I know this sounds too far out - like maybe I'm imagining that, but a ENT dr. told me - I was 30 @ the time - that my ear drums were full of scar tissue from bursting and that the tissue is REALLY thin - like an elderly person. Very unusual, but he had no idea why my ear drums would keep bursting.) The heal but it's just so PAINFUL and not making the connection to the cause frustrates me. I'm a problem solver by nature, and this one has not been "laid to rest". I'm always interested to hear (no pun intended) of others' ear experiences, hoping to find a solution to my own dilemma. Thanks for your time.
