SC, read this regarding tamari...

I didn't see the original part of the "thread" you were responding to (it doesn't show for some reason), but as far as tamari having no wheat, every brand I ever see in the health food or "regular" store, does have wheat. I keep looking for wheat-free tamari and never can find it. I end up just using iodized salt. I just tried a new thing last night that I learned about from this fantabulous vunderbar veb site! It's called "gomasio" and is crushed sesame seeds mixed with a salt called on the ingredients list "lima sea salt" (???). Anyway, I put some of that in my dark sesame oil, lime juice, salt, crushed garlic and nutritional yeast dressing and had it over some rice noodles (Pastariso--thanks to U reminding me how much I like that brand) last night as a side dish with my meat and veg. dishes. It was GGGGGgggggggreat. I just bought some packaged pumpkin seeds called "pumpkorn" that seem to have been designed by an ER4YTer--they have "wheat-free tamari" in the ingredients. But I have never in all my born days seen wheat-free tamari at any health food store, and I looked as recently as last night.
