To get into ketosis you have to get fat high, protein high, and carbs almost non existent. I did the ketosis diet for 14 months and lost about forty pounds, and then after an 8 month phase when I was lifting weights and putting on muscle, I went back into ketosis and lost about 20 lbs (3 months). I was able to train hard for my third degree black belt test while in ketosis. But there is a cyclic ketogenic diet, which is explained at my web site.

Definitely in ketosis you eliminate just about all carbs, and to lose weight consistently, you need to exercise. As an O, hard exercise is part of your health plan.
