HI -
I think it is because I feel so much better with ER4 that she has decided to try it, too. Although, I do some shopping for her and refused to get her shredded wheat - got rice puffs instead. The hardest thing is making sure she does eat at all and that she gets the beef!! She still works full time - 40 hours plus per week, standing all 8 hours and no breaks. So, I try to make sure she gets at least a good supper. She has taken to the plan like a duck to water, tho, except for the ice cream thing. She won't give it up at all. Even bought her some Rice ice cream - but when she went to buy some - "oh no, it is so expensive you can buy 10 times as much ice cream for the same amount as that little carton of the rice cream." Well, as I keep telling myself, SMALL STEPS.

Also, it gives her something to do, read ingredients at the store and figure out out what's on her list of do's and don't's. She's pretty cool, tho, 72, 102 lbs, red hair and drives a brand new firebird trans am. If she stays on ER4 she should be going strong for awile!!!! Maybe you could show your mom this page? Well, all I can say is keep trying.

Love and more,
