Personally, I find the "dangers of soy" propaganda out there to be just that--I can see little or no scientific basis for it, generally speaking. In fact, the FDA has just approved special labeling for the health benefits soy products much like what you see on oatmeal products. For now the labeling will be limited to talking about soy's ability to lower cholesterol and minimize the risk of heart disease, but as more exhaustive testing is done, soy producers may also be able to list the benefits regarding its use as an anti-cancer food.

FWIW, I'm a Type O, and have a soy-based protein shake for breakfast every morning that does WONDERS for my energy level. I use a cup of soy milk, two scoops of soy protein powder (the minimally processed organic kind), and whatever variety of fruit strikes my fancy for the day. I have noticed no ill effects from the soy, only benefits (good protein intake, high energy, very filling, and TASTY).
