Recently, there have been 2 types of problems:

1. First, the board is being upgraded from Web-BBS 3.12 to 3.20. Most of the enhancements are minor, but one of them is the ability to turn off the 'View Count' (i.e the feature that counted how many times a post was viewed)

The 'View Count' has been turned off for two reasons:

a.) It only recorded the 'view' if your browser accepts 'cookies', so the number is not the real number of views.
b.) Because the message board page has to be 'refreshed' every time you click on it to record the new number of views (rather than just every time a new post is recorded) this function slowws down the software significantly. Turning it off should result in the board running faster for most people.

2. The server is also having technical problems, as they are doing some hardware replacement. This is independent of my updating the bulletin board software. This is what caused the problems yesterday. These should be resolved by Monday night (NA Pharmacal should be back on line by Monday AM).
