Jan, I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago. I began having severe attacks while pregnant with my first child. It took three years for them to discover what was wrong with me. It had nearly gotten dibilitating to this 25 year old. I'm sure there are many natural suggestions. I'm sure in some cases it is much wiser to keep your gallbladder. But faced with the dibilitating pain, and the fact that by the time it was discovered it was severely diseased from so many attacks, I can tell you that in my case surgery was a god send. No regrets here! If someone has never suffered with this disease they cannot possibly understand how it can stop your life. My only caution on the natural front, is that some recomendations that I have heard of can actually be dangerous. Just as you would do with giving a surgical option grave consideration, collect all the info possible before jumping into any treatment! My heart goes out to you!
