In Response To: diarrhea (Gerry)
I have always found rice water to be useful during diarrhea. I have given it to husband and children, now adult, and various pets and farm animals. Just boil some rice and strain off the water. Keep the rice for later eating if you wish.
Take rice water 1 Tablespoon at a time, as often as necessary. I have found its best not to eat anything solid for half to one day if diarrhea is bad, but if its intermittent, then take 1 Tablespoon every half hour or so until things settle down. Rice water is nourishing if you wish to take it alone, and apparently its what is given to victims of cholera in India (cant verify this though). Its OK for O's but not HB. Hope you feel better soon.
