You may want to read THE YEAST SYNDROME by William Crook. To put it briefly, people who do not handle carbs well often suffer from yeast and fungal infections. The vital key has been to eliminate carbs from the diet. "The Cave Man Diet" as it has been called, is a diet of meat, oil, and eggs, and it has helped many people control chronic yeast and fungal infections. Boosting the immune system also helps control chronic fungal infections like athletes foot.
The theory is that the yeasts and fungi live on the carbs the same as you do, and so you starve them when you eliminate the carbs. So if you are following the ideal O diet and keeping carbs at a minimum, you are starving out the fungal infections in your body. It works for me!
