The iodine test.

I have looked in the archives to no avail. Just want to know how long it should take for the quarter size spot of iodine to totally absorb in the skin, to indicate normal levels of it in the body. Mine disappeared in little more than a day. Does that mean I need it? Or was my spot too small? Thanks much.
