Ed or any knowledgable herbalist,

I used antibiotics this time last year for a dental abcess that wasn't responding to Echinacea and Goldenseal. It affected my hormone balance which took months to straighten out. Other than that I haven't used them in 17 years. .My B+ son has a mean virus (since last Th) and currently is dealing with swollen tonsils and a sinus infection. In previous years I felt secure using Goldenseal as an alternative to anti-biotics for infection. I read today that it is Avoid for all types!!!!! I also used Echinacea to boost our immune systems. It is Neutral !!!!!!!I I have been searching my herbals and don't find any HB herbs that world replace them.....that have the same repoted effect.

My questions to whoever knows:

What would B's use as an alternate anti-biotic and immune booster during and before an active infection?

Will B's get the immune boost from Neutral Echinacea?

Same question for A's.

I realize that ultimately...if we are eatting for our type and taking the HB herb teas, we shouldn't have to deal with these problems...but I can't monitor my son's diet as he spends half his time at dad's.....and I'd feel better knowing which herbs work in this way for these situations.
