Hi Ed.
I know my post was silly but I think you misinterpreted, (unless you're being sillier than me.) Nobody's bringing me down - I'm still 99% compliant after a year and a half. I just still love the SMELL of grain goodies(I don't eat them - haven't touched wheat or corn in over 2 years; only eat rice every fourth day-toasted rice cake, of course) the same way I loved the smell of a grilling steak for years after I became a vegetarian. I was just wondering about the forces of physiology/biochemistry (like the bad bugs being hungry and telling you that you need more carbos to feed them, or your true chemistry telling you you really do need that steak) and making an imaginative joke about it. And my A husband IS gradually doing the diet (I'M dragging HIM in), but I understand his love for toast!
I see you're enjoying the women's health class. (But don't you worry about this rugged, self-willed O - no woosie grain-eating A male is gonna drag me anywhere. My husband's one of the most non-discrimatory males I've ever known.) Glad to see you doing so well. I've enjoyed your company and progress on this board this past year.
