Hello again.
Thank you to SC and Deborah for the info on Kombu. Will check it out at food co-op or health food store this week.
I found 2 seed catalogues from Johnny's and Burpee Heirloom Seeds when I got home today. They list Dragon's Tongue Bush Wax bean as a dual purpose bean. Yellow with purple streaks that turn all yellow after cooking or dry as shell bean. So if it is a wax bean, then it's a neutral?
SC, you do "wax poetic"! Marie
