Oh no! Not the wheat gluten! Run!!!!!!
Many grains have gluten, so you don't have to be gluten free if it doesn't bother you. Spelt has gluten as do some others. But I'm sure the WHEAT gluten is an avoid. The gluten is like the glue that holds it together. That's why when bread is made from rice flour, it has a hard time staying together or rising (especially in the bread maker) there's ways around it (such as adding an extra egg). So put the bread down and back away from it slowly.
Have you found any good recipes in the new "Cook right for your type" I tried the rice crispy treats, the kind with the maple syrup tasted the best. Make sure you don't use the name brand cereal "Rice Crispies" they have corn syrup, I used the puffed millet store brand cereal, but it tasted pretty good.
As for eating out, when my husband and I found out we were O's we hit the Steak restaurants pretty hard. It was great. Steak and broccoli and/or salad. Try that next time you go out.
Take care, Beth
