The type A's have been talking about this, the past day or so, too. I suspect A's and O's have problems with beans in different ways (based on my O-ness, my husband and daughter's A-ness, and trying to plan good vegetarian menus for dance events). I find I like my beans cooked basically to mush (at least 2 hours); my husband likes to soak his (this seems to make them completely UNdigestible for me!), often overnight. Everyone seems to agree that a strip of kombu in the cooking water helps. I've noticed, with eggs and my type A daughter, that frequency and amount are a big factor, not just the particular food (like, if it's a Neutral for your type, rather than a Highly Beneficial, you may not be able to handle it as often or in large quantities at a time). We all seem to benefit from a bit of powdered ginger sprinkled on top of a bean serving, as well.
