WOuld the converse also be true? When you are ravenously hungry when getting sick, wouldn't it be a signal to eat for your health? I ask because I had a full week a couple of weeks ago where I was so busy I ate almost NOTHING! I knew better, but I was doing a show and I almost never eat anything the day of a performance. ANyway, after the week was over I started to feel I was coming down with something: my throat hurt, nose started running, and I felt enourmously hungry and tired. I ate and slept a lot for a few days (4 or 5), and then I felt OK. I weighed today and I'm still on track weight-wise. I guess I compromised my resistance or immune response by not eating while exerting much energy (also we had ice storms and very low temps).
