Check this out! Found this today. This describes two of the major symptoms I experienced!

It'd be great to get more info still. As the only reason why I ingested St John's wort was because it was amongst the ingredients on a PMS tea I was taking for bloating. I'd figured, "Hey, if this St John's Wort is for depression & I'm not depressed... what's the worst that can happen? I get a little happier... WRONG! Little did I know!

Still I can't help but wonder if it wasn't "just the St Wort" but rather a combination of things, because around the same time I happened to be taking other herbal supplements listed as O avoids, PLUS Around the time I exploded, I'd just been trying to fight of a flu w/echinacea, goldenseal, & cold medicine on top of all that.

From Ask Peter D'Adamo Archives October 1 1998:

Dr. Peter D'Adamo's remarks on a reason why blood type O's react strangely to St John's Wort:

Type O's have lower levels of the enzyme MAO, and St. Johns Wort is an MAO inhibitor. This perhaps explains why many type Os on St Johns Wort say they feel "weird" or have disturbing dreams. (!!!)
