In Response To: Eating right while you're sick... (trish)
Hi Trish,
Frustration is definately where I'm at. I follow the diet and eat mostly HB foods. If there was one food item that is an avoid that I have is corn syrup and coffee. Corn syrup goes in the coffee, but that was what I gave up during my illness.
I have always been healthy and I don't know why I seem to be ill more since I've been on this diet. I don't like to cook or make things from scratch so I try to buy out of convienience rather than find time to make things from scratch. Cooking my meat has already taken up my time. I try to eat salads with meat or make soup with vegetables and meat. I believe I am eating all the right things. I read the post everyday to get suggestions from everyone. I have not given up yet because I truley believe the diet will work for me somewhere.
I eat buffalo, beef, chicken, tuna, pinto beans, I eat canned chili free range turkey(?)<---maybe the problem area. Rice Milk, rice flour, rice ceral, wheatless crackers (seaweed), Ezekiel bread down to one slice in the morning and one in the afternon. I gave up carob chips. I drink club soda. I take my supplements which are kelp, licorice(dgl),calcium, vitamin C. So Trish, yes I have been around the board and I am fully aware of what is avoid or HB.
Don't know!!!! Val
