hello from one of those annoying type o's that doesn't want to eat meat!:) i thought i could help you out with some tofu tips. most health food stores offer pre-packaged baked tofu in great flavors - italian, thai, sage, etc. if trying to cook it makes you nervous this could be a good place to start.
there are also some good refrigerated veggie burgers at most grocery stores, just read ingredients for wheat. if you want to try making tofu dishes yourself stir-fry is a great place to start. the good doctor's new book has lovely tofu recipes and the recipe board on the web site is a fine resource as well.
as for me, i spent the weekend investigating resources for buying free range, "organic" beef. hope you grow to love tofu, happy eating! sharon
