Hi Peter,
I was just reading stuff (about the 'Linus Pauling Award') on your site, when quite surprisingly, I bumped into a link back to my site. It was to Dr. Joe Pizzorno's biography from the IfHI 2005 Conference and I guess its inclusion was a reaction to the conference coordinators calling the four main speakers 'Masters'.
Personally, I think it is one thing to use superlatives, or even mild hyperbole, in a harmless marketing sense (gee, even your own site features an interview with a 'Pioneer of Orthomolecular Medicine') and quite another to unilaterally build an award around an individual of Pauling's stature.
As one of those 'wannabe leaders and self-identified masters of complementary alternative medicine', I have to tell you, there is no desire on my part to associate myself with Pauling's legacy, great as it is.
And to top it off, it was a outstanding conference. You'd have enjoyed it.
Other than that, I love your site and always enjoy your writings.
