How do you effectively avoid MSG?

I have been doing really well following the BTD and decided to have a few Hershey's Kisses thinking they weren't harmful. Minutes later I began to experience numbness and tingling in my tongue and my throat and tongue were beginning to swell! I didn't see anything questionable in the ingredients except "artificial flavoring". So I did some research and discovered the artificial flavoring is MSG! From what I read "artificial flavoring" isn't the only name used to diguise MSG. How are we supposed to avoid it if they don't identify it as an ingredient in food?

Meat or Thyroid Testing?

So I've been experiencing a real dark brain lately. I'm in menopause and have been reading about it and this seems to be a normal type of thing that happens. But they did mention getting thyroid tested. If so, it seems I've read somewhere that if they don't test correctly, you could receive a normal reading but still have an issue.

This morning I was really dark and decided that it had been awhile since I'd eaten good grass fed beef. So I made up some patties with olive oil, some millet bread crumbled up and added, (like my Mom used to do with regular bread crumbs), minced onions, cayenne and salt. Cooked um up nice and juicy with a little browning and ate one.

Now it's about 30 min later and my brain feels much better. Did I need some dopamine? I mean this is a distinct difference.

Any comments on the thyroid testing anyway would be much appreciated. I do take FemBalance but my hot flashes are not completely gone. It's just been lately that I've gotten the dark brain thing.

As well my body has become extremely sensitive to any wrong or off Swami limits food I might eat.

So I'm being forced to work on staying on the good path.

Mystery Energy Loss - Please Help!

HELP

I had a sudden drop in energy this afternoon that amazed me; I read through some of Paul Clucas' past posts to try to sift through Explorer energy drops. It seemed to indicate more sea salt in one's water, or more protein intake, or steps needed to increase the body's circulation.

I was drinking our old, bad water yesterday and noticed it was only making me thirstier and more dried out. I had also gone without fruits for 2 days and my body compensated by increasing its demand for veggies and HONEY.

In 2 days I wound up expelling candida ---- OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! That burnt.

What's happening? I'm eating all my SWAMI recommended portions.....I'm back to drinking lots of lime-water-ade every day.....

Started off a great "day off" took care of the nasty errands first and looked forward to coming home to clean my room and make it prettier (desperately needed)

Felt the tiredness at 3pm when bio-clock switches over from small intestine to bladder cleanse (chinese medicine)....felt more and more sleepy till 7pm (friend kept me up on the phone....everyone wants me exactly when I am ill, I think), then BOOOOOOM!!!!!

I've fallen into bed with utter exhaustion and feeling like all energy has been drained even out of my bones! personality is changing to hostile, and want the world to either leave me alone, or take me to the hospital to recuperate.

I FEEL LIKE ABSOLUTE S**T!!! I can't get up and walk around for long it's like every time I touch the bed I want to sleep for 30 days.......like to get up and go to work tomorrow is torture

I feel a visit from Amazone I. coming........

Dr's - do you concur? http://www.livestrong.com/article/312658-vitamin-doses-for-adrenal-fatigue/
