I just read that 95 % of the watermelons nutritional value is in teh skin.

Jay Kordich says this.

well my comments are if he is eating the skin , perhaps that's what's making him nuts lol, and his liver spots on his hand are a worry too.

anyway the question is is there any benefit in watermelon skin and what are the blood type relevance.

for example in my swami watermelon is diamond, but watermelon seeds are b;ack dots. and since dr d doesn't mention watermelon seeds i assume they are either neutral or not considered.

just thinking lol

I have adjusted one of my routines recently and was told by my daughter that it tastes just like apple sauce.

To a cup of blended pine"apple" including the core, i add a teaspoon of ara6 and a teaspoon of Harmonia deluxe.

then mix it up and leave it to settle for an hour or so at room temperature.

the result is a luxurious apple sauce taste that is reminiscent of a home baked Bramley apple pie.

I will get my partner to work on a compliant pastry to see how an actual pie turns out.

anyway useful for nonnie who have a craving for apples.

I am trying to decipher my body's changes in hormones throughout the month. Every month on around day 19 or 20 I have a total mood change. I go from driven, focused, clear-minded, productive and happy to tired, unfocused, foggy, not sure what to do first or where to start and short tempered. I also have a huge appetite increase where I am most tempted to not eat compliantly. Then it subsides for a few days, probably a week, and then I am crabby for one day about 2 days before my cycle starts.

Any thoughts? Background is I'm 35 years old, O nonnie with 2 kids age 5.5 and age 4. I stay at home with the kids. I try to lead a relatively stress free life.

I am looking to start incorporating some whole foods smoothies into my diet using compliant fruits and veggies, and am looking for any recommendations on blenders to use for this...In a perfect world, I would order a Vitamix, but they are fairly spend, though I don't doubt their value; I have recently heard of some other blenders and am wondering how they stack up (i.e. The Ninja, NutriBullet, Blendtec, etc.) Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations you may have!!

Anyone try it?

This was in today's newspaper. I'm going to first post it as is then suggest a few changes.

Sweet Potato Salad

6 cups peeled and cubed sweet potatos
1/2 teaspoon dried ginger
1/2 teaspoon dried cumin
3 tablespoons olive oil divided
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Preheat oven to 425F. Line baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Toss sweet potatos with 1 tablespoon olive oil, ginger, and cumin and spread out on sheet. Roast 30 minutes or till potatoes are crisp. Cool and transfer into a serving bowl. Add onions, pecans, and dried cranberries. In a small bowl add 2 tablespoons olive oil, maple syrup, orange juice, lime juice, and nutmeg. Toss with the potatos

My changes: tangerine juice for orange juice and instead of cooking spray, line the tray with parchment paper, maybe use sweet vidalia onion instead of green onion.

Original source: "Too Hot in the Kitchen" by Holly Clegg
