Rice is superfood, rice milk is black dot?

Hey there folks. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me a definitive or not so definitive answer about rice vs rice milk.

Swami has me with rice as a superfood (not diamond) and rice milk as black dot.

If I use rice grain to make my own rice milk at home and don't add anything to it, and consume it the same day or next day - does that turn it into a black dot or will it be beneficial still? Or is it only if you buy rice milk from the store that has been sitting on the shelf for months and mixed in with other stuff - is that what makes it black dot?

I really want to find a milk that I can have that's beneficial or neutral, almond milk is neutral for me but I have a bad reaction to almonds. I sometimes make macadamia nut milk for myself (macadamias are beneficial) - but I am not confident knowing that macadamia nut milk is not specificially mentioned in swami. I don't like the idea of having rice milk every day if it's a black dot - and I'm happy to make my own rice milk if it's going to be better for me.

Hope this makes sense.....

Any one with any opinions, experience or ideas on this?

Today I had reflexology to find a very tender lump on my pancreas reflex. I have been told by Naturopaths in the past I have an issue with enzyme secretion. I have been taking enzymes although maybe that's not doing enough. What further tests can be done to check my pancreas function and any suggestions how to improve my pancreas function.
Thanks

Hello everyone.
I've been on the ERFYT diet for just over 2 years and SWAMI for about 3 months of that, eating compliant foods about 90% of the time. About a week ago, I contracted shingles which is an autoimmune reaction (I am also hypothyroidic and lost about 30% to Alopetia, which has all grown back with medication and diet). Now, I've never had a shingle problem before or anything close to it.
Is this a case of my body detoxing, or is my immune system that messed up? I didn't get any of the side effects, just the itching and blistering.
Thanks for any comments.

Hi

I have been here before, went off track followed a few other fad diets that didnt work well for me so I am back. I tried the Raw Juicing for a while and that really didn't agree with me which brought me back to BTD as I know A+ dont do well on raw and after my experience I believe this to be true.

I have Swami, do not know if I am a nonnie or not. From my Swami I am A+ 40% Teacher. I am unsure and dont feel confident I have all the correct information, I had to do it by myself, there is noone in Western Australia who I can see. I did the measurements by myself and still a little unsure they are 100%. When I have a spare half hour I am planning on watching the link to make sure I am doing all the measurements correct again.

I have seen many Naturopaths and Kinesiologist to test for food intolerances and so many of my beneficial foods I was advised against and foods on my avoids I was told were ok, like Bananas I was told suited me, whereas apples (beneficial) I was told to stay away from. Alot of beneficial foods dont seem to agree with me. I dont do well with nuts or beneficial beans. Which makes it hard to find foods that I can eat, sometimes I get a little scared of eating anything.

I am finding I am becoming more intolerant to more foods and my IBS and axiety seems to get worse. Which is a vicious circle, its a catch22, food intolerances cause anxiety and IBS symptoms and anxiety causes IBS.

At the end of the day nothing else has worked so I think its time I give Swami 100% effort. I dont eat red meat or tomatoes, or dairy milk/yoghurts. I have avoided these since I first bought Swami over a year ago.

I also find some of this confussing when reading message boards there is alot of technical conversations that make no sense to me. I guess it will all take time.

Is it necessary to get the secretor testing done ? how much is this and where can this be done? is there anything else I should do when starting out ?

So here it goes

Thanks
Lisa

I've had a couple of people tell me now that they read they are finding out grapefruits are bad for you.

I have basically ignored them because I love them. I don't eat them all the time. But I have to tell you, I just love them. I had a rio star red this morning and it was just sooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooood.

Anyways... It's one fruit that I felt like I could eat that didn't make yeast worse back when I had it real bad.

I think they are claiming there is some kind of relationship with heart problems and grapefruit. But I had an arrhythmia long before I ever even looked at a grapefruit much less eat one. I never drank the juice either. Too bitter.

Anyways.. just wondering if anybody else has heard these rumblings about them being bad too. There must be some studies out there. But if there is real merit to them, I'm all ears.

Hello Everyone!

I've been GTD compliant for about 3 months. My intestinal health feels great and my fatigue is gone. The two major reasons why I started.

In the last month and a half I have started taking many of the supplements on a daily basis, such as the Polyvite A, Polyflora A, Deflect A, Fish oil Formula for Teacher, Catalyst, and Activator for Teacher.

In the 10 years I can count on one hand the number of times I have gotten ill with a flu or another sickness. I even have 2 small children in grade school who come home with colds, that I do not catch. Two weeks into starting my supplements I started sneezing heavily for about a week. Then I completely lost my voice for a few days. Which then turned into a bit of a cough, that has been going in an out of sore throat phases. And to this day I still feel a lingering in my chest and have a bit of a mucous buildup (all clear not yellow or green).

Even with all these "sicknesses" I still have energy, not once have I been fatigued and my intestines are super happy. Could I be Detoxing?! Were all the supplements at one time too much? My immune system is normally off the charts good. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for the help and insight.

Most of you have probably heard of websites and resources used to learn about their ancestry, but have any of you heard of DNA testing for the purpose of discovering cultural roots and genetic ethnicity?

I wonder if this technology could be helpful in refining the choices SWAMI provides regarding family ancestry? My dh and I were a bit hung-up on deciding between central and western Europe since we both have largely German backgrounds. I know I've heard others say that food ratings and genotype dominance/percentages change significantly based upon that particular selection on their SWAMI's.

If you know little about your ancestry, like my adopted children's lineages, perhaps ancestryDNA testing could answer those questions.
