Hello!

Wander if you could help with some foods please.
Here they are;
*Solgar Liquid Vitamin E
Ingredients; each five drops(recommended)
Wheat Germ Oil 165mg,...,Sunflower Oil 34mg,

*Alpro Single Soya Cream
...some ingredients which i'm not worried about
Emulsifiers(soya lecithins,sucrose esters of fatty acids)-those i feel bit worried

Maybe i should simply judge how d each food is affecting me?
Anyway, i'm sure you'll sand me lots of Very Valuable comments and knowledge.

Both have things that are not desirable - it comes down to what level of compliance you need to achieve your goals.

In general, something like the E (why do you want to take this?) is not as big a deal from the avoids standpoint because the amounts are so small. That said there are almost always other options.

The cream product is primarily made of avoids. It is something I would never use for myself.

Soy lecithin is not a problem, unless you're very allergic to soy. But what are you using this soy cream for? You'll probably be healthier just using heavy cream (sometimes called double cream.)

When you said cream, I thought you meant skin cream. Things for the skin aren't as bad as for eating.

I take vitamin E even tho Dr. D doesnt recommend it for O. I eat more oils than recommended, so have the E to go with them. Vitamin E is so good for many things from blood vessel integrity to anti-cancer to heart health. Selenium goes with it.  I do eat some fried foods, so E helps offset the bad elements of them, IMHO.

I primarily use Vitamin E as a skin cream. It does seem to strengthen and helanmy thin skin. I only ingest E in my food and never as a supplement.

I don't eat anything with soy. Ever. I even make sure my poultry is always organic. Though they eat soy and corn, at least it's organic and most importantly non GMO. Hormone and antibiotic free. I'm kind of a snob about hormone and antibiotic free and non GMO.

really?  heavy cream?  could one add water to alter the taste a bit?    are many other O's using this heavy cream in their hot drinks or cooking?

Well I will join you in the snobby "hormone, antibiotic and non GMO" club.   ;D   I'm sad to hear that the chickens are fed corn... and soy actually.   I didn't realize that.

There have been many debates on heavy cream. Apart from the 'presumed neutrality' from being unlisted, the most persuasive argument in my mind is that heavy cream is fairly similar to butter and that those who get butter as a beneficial might also use heavy cream. Of course heavy cream is not butter!

The bottom line is how much you would use, how frequently, and how that fits into your compliance goals. I find arguments that heavy cream is compliant to be a non-starter, particularly for type A. Another option is to use ghee instead, again being mindful of portions (compliance).

Yes, BluesSinger, that's what they eat unless you buy pastured but they usually still get their choice. This is why I always buy organic.

For thanksgiving  I bought an organic pastured turkey. Both my co op and Costco had organic pastured on their labels. I called both farms and Costco's was only allowed organic corn and soy but didn't have freedom to go outside as they wished. My co op said they have the option of organic corn and soy but also ate grass. Now I can't  begin to tell you the difference in the grass eating one. I had so much dark meat and the juices turned to a very thick clear gelatin with just a thin layer of fat. No specks of any crud in the gelatin. I called them back to tell them how great it was and how much dark meat I had. They said that's how you can tell a truly pastured turkey as they use their legs a lot more running around. Ah ha!!!!!

This was very informative!  I will look for 'pastured' organic chicken from now on.  We always buy organic.. but never thought to look for 'pastured.'  Thank you!

Soya cream i intend to use for deserts, to pour over...maybe in soups ...
heavy/double cream -would i be correct to say that this is similar to unsalted butter. In a sense if you can have unbutter occasionally and it doesn't bother u ,than its likely that double cream want bother u also?

If you examine the ingredients of your Vitamin E supplement, you see that it contains vegetable oils. You can get all the vitamin E you need from your diet if you are eating oils that are WELL absorbed via your gut. And that's the question - which oils are best absorbed by you as an individual? Fat-soluble vitamins (A,D,E,K) are vital to good health, and there will be deficiencies in many cases where their absorption is impaired.
In fact, bowel problems can be signified (if patients and doctors are alert) when vitamin labs come back LOW.
So find your best fat(s) and you won't need (if indeed you now need) a Vit E supplement.
I say this as someone whose recent Vitamin E lab came back somewhat above normal (which is still fine)! What had all of a sudden changed? One thing: I'd changed my primary fat source.

@BluesSinger: Absolutely feel free to dilute your heavy cream with water. You're in effect making Milk of your cream, but it has the taste Milk had when I was a child - as sweet as cream.
Bob Atkins was a big proponent of diluted Cream, by the way, because you're getting just fat and water, without the carbs found in milk.

In America, the soy cream products often have a lot of unhealthy additives. Heavy cream can often be found with no additives, or very few. This makes it a healthier product- especially for those of us who do poorly on soy products. Since I'm an O nonnie, I shouldn't have any soy.  I don't know if the soya cream you have available is pure, or if it has a lot of things added to it.

Butter contains a small amount of milk proteins. Cream is low in milk protein, but it does contain more than butter does. Many type O people do very well on cream, while others still get a small reaction to it. I find that it makes me a little bit stuffed up, but not as bad as other dairy products do. I use it for special occasions, but not for every day.

Almond butter works well in soups. It's a little more work to blend it in than it is to stir in a thick liquid, but the end result is about the same.

What about half and half?  I find that I prefer the taste of half and half in my tea rather than heavy cream... I really don't know what the difference is... ???

This however is very interesting... I'd like to try #8 and #10 with my Matcha!    Maybe one or both of these will be my answer to 'creaming' up my morning tea!!!  AND #10 could be part of a good breakfast with the eggs involved!

The difference? Well, for you, apparently, it's Taste.

Cream is Cream. Milk is Milk. Half&Half is supposed to be roughly 50-50.
Considering this is for tea, which already contains water, you can add a very very small amount of cream for the effect you want.

so half and half is 50 cream and 50 milk?  that's not good.. since milk itself is an avoid.. humm... so milk is the leftover after the cream is skimmed off the top?

Cream has some milk solids, so wouldn't be good if I had it regularly. However, if you occasionally cheat with dairy without outward problems, it certainly would be better than any small portion of dairy! It also tastes good, I'm sure. I like creamy things. :)

Well in the last couple of days I discovered Ripple.. the pea based milk and we love it.  It does have two gums in it which are black dots on my swami BUT all the other milks are out for me.. so it's a choice ... do I drink soy which causes horrid gastric issues or drink this milk with a couple of black dots which may or may not affect me?  Time will tell as far as this Ripple Milk but so far it's great!    And again, I am not into ANY of the other milks out there (for my tea drinking).   I will use almond milk in other ways but it tastes GROSS in my tea!   :P

Unless Ghee is a black dot or Avoid for you, why not simply add some to your matcha? You want to add fat to your morning tea, and there it is -- likely even a Superfood. You're not necessarily in the market for a protein or any gums -- just fat. You're craving an OIL in there. There it is.  :)

Another option is to drink your tea black.  But truly, a product that contains a small amount of black dots, and that you're only consuming a few ounces of per day, is probably fine. A black dot isn't an avoid.

Ok I made my tea blend, put it in the blender, added about a tsp of ghee, some Ripple Milk, a bit of unsweetened choc powder, some stevia and whipped it up!

This is a GREAT blend even without the choc.  

I'm going this way because I'm still afraid of cream and milks.. i guess this mentality has been drilled into me by O profile and I still don't know where my joint pain is coming from.. so better to avoid milks and creams from cows for now!  

I guess I will be going over the suggested Ghee allowance on my swami by quite a bit however!   I'm only allowed 1 tsp 3 times a week!  now I will be getting at least 1 tsp everyday!    Thoughts on this?

although heavy cream does have only half the calories of ghee.. should I be concerned about this?

I regularly eat more fat than SWAMI recommends, so a little ghee every day should be fine.
I wouldn't be worried about calories. Sometimes eating something more caloric controls the appetite better, so you eat less later on.... Nuts as a snack are a good example.

I don't know your health picture. I don't know if you are medically on a calorie-restricted diet. If so, you might mention this to your nutritionist/doctor.
I have never in my life counted calories.
I think morbidly obese people who are on medical diets are put on graduated-calorie-reduction regimens, that sort of thing.
It seems you're particularly worried/anxious about this. Why not just try it and see how you do? I'm glad to hear you enjoyed something you made in your kitchen. (I'm not glad to hear you're "afraid of" creams and milks.) Even if cream doesn't agree with you, I'm not aware you could end up in the hospital or anything, in which case - I agree: Don't Chance It unless hubby is home with you, or - better - try it in the doctor's office.
It would help us to help you if we knew you had a serious condition - but of course you needn't disclose it.

I think that SWAMI is too cautious with the fat portions, while it's fairly accurate about proteins/veggies/grains/sugars/etc.  Many people have had that experience- that they can, and often need to, eat much more fats, oils, and/or ghee than SWAMI calls for.

When I first got my SWAMI, I tried to be 100% perfect with all the portion sizes. After two days, I felt ill and weak from lack of food. I need more fat and protein than SWAMI seems to think I need.

I've always eaten more fat and protein than Swami Recommends.  I have found that I try to stick more to the food suggestions than the portions suggestions which is 'definitely' a personal tweaking.

A delicious and creamy coffee that packs a powerful nutritional punch!

Recipe type: Drinks
Serves: 1
Ingredients

    1 cup of organic coffee, herbal coffee or chai tea
    1 teaspoon coconut oil (or more, I usually put in 2-3 tablespoons)
    1 Tablespoon organic grass-fed unsalted butter (I get it here)
    ΒΌ tsp vanilla
    a few drops of stevia extract (optional)

Instructions

    Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Mix on high speed for 20 seconds until frothy. Drink immediately and enjoy all the energy!

I didn't read the last long post as I have to get off the site and do some other things!!
But I do want to say that I bet all of us tweak our SWAMI!  It a wonderful tool, but can have a few errors.
I know most folks here don't do fasting, but I bet you would benefit from a fast to detox. Maybe have a juice fast with watery juices. Have fruit juice in the morning and veggie juices the rest of the day. Get rest and some exercise. Your body has been battered from the travel and avoids and it will take time to recover.

Well from what i've read in a few places.. fasting is just awful for O's!  Plus I'm a compulsive overeater and fasting would be the death of me!!  
I would go into horrible cravings and be exhausted if I did that!    A good grass fed burger and nice salad is much better than a fruit juice/veggie juice day.

But thank you for your suggestion and taking the time to respond.
