For blood type O Secretor (78 year old hunter)

Broke hip last week,
will be discharged from hospital following surgery tomorrow.

I am aware of the surgery support protocols, are there other things to support recovery?

I think if I had a broken hip and had to have hip surgery, lying out in the sun would be a top priority for me. Anyone have a sun room available for this person?

Dr. D
Vitamin C (preferably from food derived vitamin) 1000mg daily
Branch chain amino acids (500mg each minimum Valine, Leucine
Isoleucine)

These nutrients are in great demand in situations of bone breakage. I can
testify to their efficacy.

My friend drank copious amounts of comfrey tea, I believe the natives refer to this herb as "knit-bone". The doctor's marvelled at his recovery and healing.  :)

I’m keeping an eye on this thread because my best friend is going to have hip surgery in April.  Some of these things might be good for her too during her recovery period.
