You know....this is getting a bit wierd....what if you're cleansing and then this old oval scar you never knew was still there turns red and doesn't want to go away no matter how many times you ( try and see what's inside and treat it as if it were a pimple?) There's nothing "in" it, yet it won't heal.

This is OVAL. It can't be a pimple scar. It's not itchy. It just sits there and looks bad.

Just let it "process" on its own.  I have had so many things heal further in this process that nothing surprises me anymore...  Our job is to continue to eat good stuff, thank God that he led us to this lifestyle information, and let the body do its job of healing.

If it doesn't heal after a reasonable time, I would have it looked at by a dermatologist. Maybe you could get online and look at some photos of different skin lesions and figure it out.

According to homeopathy, there are two ways our bodies push out toxins: through inflammation and through our largest organic, the skin.

Poor skin. It can get ravaged by the body dumping toxins from within besides being attacked by all sorts of environmental hazards without. No wonder so many people have skin cancer and other skin problems! Thankfully, the body can heal itself of many of these things, or we would all be dead by now.

As ABJoe mentioned, I also have cleansing events from time to time.  One of the ways they appear is as reddened spots on my skin.  I'll sometimes put a little tea tree oil/lavender blend on them if they seem irritated.  That calms them right down.  They usually stick around for a few weeks, then either fade out, or dry up and peel off.

If anything seems out of the ordinary (gets larger, more inflamed, alarming in any way) I'd go to the dermatologist.  Rarely, I've had something removed that was benign, but was behaving in a way that disturbed me.

Hi Seraffa- I have something similar going on with my skin. I had a thing pop up on my face that looked a felt like a volcano in a spot where I had a pimple that lightly scarred 25+ years ago. My dermatologist is familiar with the BTD/ detoxing, etc. and explained that the toxins will find the path of least resistance to come out of your body and most times it is where trauma (a scar) occurred in the past. He referred to my spot as just "toxic blood" trying to work its way out. He said if need be, lance with a clean needle, clean with peroxide and then treat with tea tree oil. There is no way to tell how long it will last, it just depends on the toxins coming out. I actually welcome it now... I just want it out of my body.  :)
